I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The food was truly excellent, showcasing a variety of cuisines, and the room was spacious and clean. However, the service left a lot to be desired, especially the attitude of the staff. The location offered beautiful views, but I found it difficult to enjoy due to mosquito issues. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the service really impacted my overall impression.

Rooms
8.0
The Deluxe Bungalow we stayed in was large and nicely furnished, offering a comfortable stay. The cleanliness was commendable, with towels changed every second day and well-maintained fly screens to keep bugs out.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service was quite disappointing. The owner seemed grumpy and unhelpful, and the young female waitress was rude, which made dining awkward.
Location
7.0
The hotel is set in a jungle area just back from the beach, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, though the beach could only be enjoyed during certain hours due to low tide.
Dining
9.0
Dining here was definitely a highlight. The food was fantastic, ranging from Thai to Mexican, with generous portion sizes. I especially enjoyed the chili beef and tacos during my visit.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel had some great amenities, like the spacious bungalows and good food, the mosquito problem due to the jungle setting was a significant downside.

The resort has a lovely beachfront location that's perfect for relaxation, but the dining experience was painfully disappointing. The rooms are basic but clean, although some have issues like lack of storage and hot water. It's a great spot if you want peace and quiet, yet you might need to adjust your expectations for food and service.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were clean but quite basic, lacking storage space and hot water. Our room had an infestation of large centipedes in the bathroom, which was concerning.
Service
5.0
The service felt quite rushed and unfriendly at times. The owner seemed more focused on managing rather than welcoming guests, which made the atmosphere less inviting.
Location
9.0
The resort is in a quiet area on the lovely white sandy beach, about a 5-minute motorbike ride from the village.
Dining
5.0
Dining was frustrating; the food was poorly seasoned and not worth the wait. We had a few enjoyable dishes, but overall, the experience fell flat.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities were basic, but Wi-Fi was available. There was no coffee-making facility in the room, and renting snorkels and kayaks came at a high price.

I had a fantastic stay at Buffalo Bay Vacation Club, with beautiful clean bungalows and an amazing restaurant that served delicious meals. The beach is stunning, although the low tide can make swimming a bit challenging. It's a peaceful location perfect for unwinding, but be prepared for some insects as it's quite remote. Overall, the value for money is excellent, especially given the quality of food and hospitality provided.

Rooms
7.0
The bungalows were clean and adequately equipped, offering the basics needed for a comfortable stay. However, they could get quite hot at night with just a fan.
Service

Dmitri was very helpful and dedicated, often found busy in the kitchen, but he also made time for guests when possible.

The hotel offers a secluded beach experience with unique dining options that include a variety of cuisines. While our bungalow was spacious and comfortable, we faced issues with cleanliness, and the restaurant's prices felt steep compared to other places on the island. The owner's lack of hospitality was disappointing, but some staff members provided decent service.

Rooms
6.0
Our bungalow was spacious, clean, and had good furnishings, though it had a musty smell and we dealt with a centipede infestation in the bathroom.
Service
5.0
The service from the owner was unfriendly and lacked warmth, which detracted from our experience, although some other staff members were nice.
Location
7.0
The resort is located in a quiet, secluded area that is beautiful but suffers from low tide, limiting swimming opportunities.
Dining
5.0
Dining was decent, with a variety of food options, but we found it significantly overpriced compared to other eateries on the island.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities had potential with clean bungalows, yet improvements are needed in maintenance and additional offerings for guests.

My stay at Buffalo Bay Vacation Club was truly exceptional! The beach is absolutely stunning, and the food is delicious, with a diverse menu. The rooms are clean, though if you're in a fan room, it can get quite warm. Service was a bit limited, but the overall experience was worth every baht. I found great value for my money, with rates below 4000 baht for three nights, including most meals.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean, and although it was quite warm in the fan room, it was as comfortable as expected given the heat in Thailand.
Service
7.0
Service in the restaurant was good, though it felt like staff were stretched with limited time to attend to guests.
Location
10.0
The location is simply breathtaking, overlooking a gorgeous stretch of beach that feels untouched by commercialization.
Dining
9.0
Dining here was a highlight; the food was excellent with a wide variety, from Thai to Mexican dishes.
Facilities
8.0
The amenities were satisfactory, with 24/7 electricity, which is a rare find on the island, making the stay even more pleasant.
